If it is cerebellar atrophy which causes difficulty in walking usually spine motor problems are very common and not able to do daily activities like changing the dress and combing hair. This problem is usually finding the reason for cerebellar atrophy. There are various causes from genetic to nutritional problem. So by examining the patient in detail and doing various tests, you have to find the cause of cerebellar atrophy. Sometimes it is due to chicken pox infection also or it can be due to progress in the brain damage also. So you have to find the reason and treat the problem. If it is due to infection, you have to treat the infection. If it is due to neurogenic disorder, some of disorders, they don’t have treatment currently, but some medications are there for this movement problems.
