Psychiatrist are shown to be paid by pharmaceutical companies, and change their opinions as expert witnesses in court according to the outcome which would benefit them most.

Psychiatric Whistle-blowers is a series of videos which document the history of psychiatry's many misgivings, and explicitly shows the highly questionable arrangement between its unscientific DSM classifications and the pharmaceutical industry from which psychiatrists benefit greatly.

The series raises evidence-based questions as to whether the credibility of psychiatry is fit and proper to be thought of as an evidence-based medical model.
In addition, the series heightens concern for how much trust should be afforded to the profession of psychiatry, and what intervention is needed to prevent abuse of power and to protect patients from being exploited.
