Welcome to the lab. In this series, David Sharife takes you through three episodes that have shaped his sound over a period of almost ten years. Episode 1 begins the series with a rather slow and experimental interpretation of physics and sound. Inspired by nuclear fusion and magnetic experiments, this EP is about morphing tonal structures and rhythm patterns into a hypnotic fusion of sound.

WENDELSTEIN is supposed to be a more dancefloor-oriented tool. A straightforward kickdrum dominates the track and gives it a slow but intense drive. Electric hum and static noise from high-voltage devices, which slowly evolve into a slurping buzz, give the track its motif.

DENSE PLASMA FOCUS is more experimental in its core structure. When the loose pounding of the synthetic drums hits the metallic sounds that go in and out of tune, you can literally feel the magnetism of the track.

DIPOLE RADIATION PATTERN combines various rhythm patterns into something that has the potential to hypnotize the floor.
