The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” To walk in victory, we must master the art of forgetting. Forget the failures, the opinions, the rejection, and the disappointments of yesterday. God never intended for your past to hold you hostage. He calls you to press forward into His promises and live with a vision that cannot be contained by the opinions of others.

Joseph’s story shows us this truth. Though betrayed, enslaved, and falsely accused, he refused to let the past define him. When his first son was born, Joseph named him Manasseh, declaring, “God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house” (Genesis 41:51). When Ephraim was born, Joseph proclaimed, “God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction” (Genesis 41:52). Your past does not disqualify you—God can make you fruitful in the very place of your struggle. Master the art of forgetting, and live your life without limits!
