How I make & break my yagi antennas. Wooden yardsticks for the booms. If you search around, there are a bunch of websites about different designs different materials. Lowes HomeDepot sell copper wire. It's a hassle to straighten it. I just do it by hand and roll it on a flat table surface to check. Getting precise cuts depends on your tools. I use wire cutters for thinner gauges, and a metal file to make the cut flat. For thicker gauges I use a saw miter box. The biggest hassle for me is finding inexpensive SMA adapters.
