Salmon Run Fishing - Port Hope Ontario Sept 2022

On Sept 11, 2022 we went to Port Hope, Ontario to follow the spectacular salmon run in the downtown area, starting at the Rotary Park going up the river. There were quite a few Chinook and Coho salmon swimming up the Ganaraska River. There were also a number of anglers. The fishing was quite good. We then take you to Corbett's Dam where the salmon make their final jump through the fish ladder before they reach their final spawning destination - the Ganaraska Millenium Conservation Area

It's an incredible, self sacrificial journey that these majestic fish make once in their lifetime for the sake of reproduction. They deserve every respect and protection that we can offer them for their species survival.
