BFC Foundation | Discover the Joe Casely-Hayford MA Scholarship

In October 2023, the BFC announced the launch of the #BFCFoundation Joe Casely-Hayford MA Scholarship - honouring Casely-Hayford’s contributions to the fashion industry and his incredible legacy. The scholarship recognises Black British culture and its far reaching and impactful influence on wider British creative industries. In 2023, Taya Francis became the first recipient of this award.

In this film, Taya, alongside Charlie Casely-Hayford, Director, Casely-Hayford London and Andrew Ibi, Artist, Designer & Educator, Co-Founder, BOLD; Co-founder; FACE discuss Joe’s illustrious career and contributions to fashion, exploring the ways in which his legacy, and this scholarship, will continue to celebrate and spotlight young talent from Black and mixed heritage backgrounds.
