Скачать или смотреть BYD SEAL v2.0 OTA Preview: New UI, Battery Preconditioning (And Why It Might Struggle?)

BYD Europe announced today that v2.0.0 OTA (system versiion 2506 most likely) Updates will roll out during this month (September 2025) in Europe with major upgrades to the Seal experience, including a whole new UI and battery preheating / preconditioning functionality. This will be the biggest OTA update to the car since its release in early 2024 (in Europe).

In this video I will preview this upcoming update - to be followed with full review when the update actually becomes available (hopefully in a few weeks!). But here I'll go through the contents of the v2.0 OTA update, and focus especially on the most significant addition to the car since its release - at least here in Northern Europe - the battery preheating. I will discuss this and speculate on what to expect of it, including also a bit of overview of the technology underneath and how the hardware choices made for the Seal might put some pressure on the effectiveness of the battery preheating in extreme winter conditions.
