We sharpened an FN Big 1400 Taiwan Tuna Knife using the Jende Diamond Resin Stones on the Jende JIGS for knives. Along the way, we stopped to take a few pics of the edge in progress. The FN Big 1400 is a large knife, so to save time, we did the initial sharpening on the belt sander using a 120 grit ceramic belt followed by a 30 and 16 micron trizact to at least make the primary bevel look good. We then transitioned over to the JIGS. Initial edge was about 17 degrees, and we set the angle to 19 degrees per side and began progressing through the 15, 9, 6, 3, and 1 micron Jende Diamond Resin Stones. You can see the changes, especially from 9 to 6, and again from 3 to 1 micron. Jende Diamond Resin Stones are available in 1x6 and 1x4 sizes.
