Mars Hydro FC-E8000 PAR and ePAR Tests & Review

The Mars Hydro FC-E8000 is a large 800-watt LED grow light designed for 5x5 coverage or 4x4 coverage with supplemental carbon dioxide. It is similar to the FC-8000, except it costs $200 less! I tested the FC-8000 two months ago. One month ago, I rated it the best 5x5 Grow Light, but I had not tested the FC-E8000 at that point.
In this review, I run the FC-E8000 through the same PAR and ePAR tests that I did with the FC-8000. We’ll look at them all side-by-side. Will the Bridgelux diodes on the FC-E8000 be able to compete with the Samsung and Osram Diodes on the FC-8000? We’ll find out and we’ll see which is the better light and which is the better deal!
