Established in 1222 in Padua in Northern Italy, this is one of the world’s oldest universities. Galileo Galilei was one of its professors. Today, it has over 65,000 students and more than 30 departments. The designer of the first commercial microprocessor, Federico Faggin, is among its most famous graduates. Innumerable conferences and congresses demonstrate its importance in scholarly and scientific research at an international level.
