Synopsis:

Xue Yao is the cold yet loyal General who is secretly investigating the death of his brother -- the former General. In the middle of his investigation, he is decreed to marry the adopted daughter Princess Xu Chu Ye.

Xu Chu Ye is witty and is considered unfortunate because of her inability to avoid her dreams (particularly the bad ones) from becoming a reality. Because of this, she intentionally suffers from insomnia.

Prince Xu Xing Chen is the biological son of the King. He has a strong bond with Chu Ye and knows about her unfortunate ability. Because of this, he attempts to break off the marriage and keep his sister away from the General.

As Chu Ye goes to live with Xu Yao, she finds herself struggling to conceal her secret therefore often urges for a divorce and runs out to find her brother. Xue Yao fights to keep Chu Ye by his side due to the order of the King while slowly falling for Chu Ye. Chu Ye also eventually discovers that Xu Yao is the charm to her misfortune.

As their love grows, Xue Yao gets closer to solving the mystery of his brother's death and Chu Ye gets closer to opening up about herself.
