HTC Vive Cosmos: 10 Things you NEED TO KNOW

Описание к видео HTC Vive Cosmos: 10 Things you NEED TO KNOW

HTC revealed quite a few new things about the Vive Cosmos VR Headset in the last few days... let's talk about it!

10. It’s a PC VR headset.
The Vive Cosmos runs on PC and mobile phones.

9. It has inside out tracking
The Cosmos makes use out of 4 cameras that will track your controllers and the environment around you.

8. It comes with VR controllers.
To go a little bit deeper down the rabbit hole the Cosmos comes with 6DOF VR Controllers.

7. It will have the best resolution.
Till this date, specs have not been given out by HTC but they did promise the best resolution possible. On the website of Vive they say it will have the sharpest image yet.

6.It comes with a Minimal Screen Door Effect.
They also claim that it will have all new pixel-packed displays with minimal screen door effect that delivers crystal clear graphics bringing every detail in VR alive.

5. It’s Modular.
The Cosmos will be future proof offering consumers customization options. What those will be are unknown but its obvious that they are talking about custom earphones, lenses, head straps and maybe even hand tracking devices.

4. It runs on SteamVR but also a new platform.
Vive Reality System is a hub that will allow you to meet your friends in VR, watch videos, boot up games from there & do many other creative activities.

3. The screen flips up.
One of the coolest features in my opinion is the flip up screen. This simple hinge makes it very easy to jump in and out of VR.

2. It has a new headstrap.
The headband of the Cosmos is very similar to the one of the PSVR. It has a dial on the back that tightens it against the back of your head and earphones that can be clicked onto the sides for extra immersion.

1. The Vive Cosmos will probably launch this year.
We don’t know an exact date yet but its clear that this headset is set to launch in 2019. With all the other non/standalone hmd’s coming out it would be a smart and logical choice to jump into the ring.

Special thanks to VooDoo for the Vive Cosmos footage. Check him out:    / @voodoodevr-en
