It’s Monday 19th August and we are so excited for the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Annual Passholder Preview event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

In this special edition of the vlog, we explore Batuu; drink in Oga’s Cantina; pilot the Millennium Falcon; dine at Ronto Roasters; ride the Millennium Falcon again, but this time as Engineers [* * * Spoiler Alert: We show the whole ride footage - first from the first row in the Pilot’s Seat, and then later from the back row in the Engineer’s Seat * * *].

We shop for pins - all the Disney Star Wars pins - but also see the delights on sale at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities: and there is so much new Star Wars merch that you won’t have seen anywhere else you’d better bring a huge number of Credits along to buy them all.

Star Wars Land offers some really great Disney Dining options - we really like the Ronto Wrap, so much so that we went back for a second one and It’s available as a Quick Service Credit.

The new Star Wars merch was being sold on the basis that you’re only allowed to buy one of each item.
But you can always get round that - should you want to - you can always go and buy it again from the other til. Naughty!

We didn’t visit the Droid Depot, or the build your own Lightsaber workshop.
When we booked our ticket you had the choice of those two or Oga’s Cantina.
Given that we have limited luggage space - that, and the fact that a droid or lightsaber costs 200 Credits - we plumped for Oga’s Cantina.
You’re allowed to stay for up to 45 minutes; you get seated, or stood, where they can fit you in [and it will likely mean you’ll be with other visitors]; and there is a two drink maximum. And the booze is very strong! We bought two souvenir mugs - a Porg and ‘bamboo’ themed one with the Ewok history of the Battle of Endor.

We absolutely loved this preview trip to Galaxy’s Edge. We feel really fortunate that the previews were at the same time as our trip - and for all of you who are heading there when it opens at the end fo August you are heading for treat.
