**Black Clover chapter 379 reveals that although Asta and Yuno appeared to have the upper hand when Black Clover chapter 378 ended just as Lucius was about to reveal his trump card. However, in chapter 379 Lucius reveals his trump card by reviving Asta's mother Licita to use as a human shield to cut down Asta in one of the most cruel methods ever in black clover! This is on top of Lucius getting a monster power up that tips the scales even further in his favor but that doesnt go unanswered by Yuno who releases Neverland to fight at full power, with a little extra help from the newly defeated Asta, which leads to Yuno's power up, a third grimoire!

This way, on a released page of Black Clover chapter 380, it is revealed that it will end with a heartbreaking cliffhanger after Lucius brings back Asta’s mother, Licita, to be used as a shield. As a result, Liebe’s will to fight is shattered, breaking his Devil Union with Asta, with Lucius seizing the opportunity to attack them.

The battle continues in Black Clover chapter #378, where Lucius is confronted by the restless attack of Asta’s antimagic that repels and obliterates everything and Yuno’s wind and star magic that has unlimited potential, wondering how these totally different powers work so well together. However, Lucius comes to realize that by surpassing each other, they have also made them overcome his prophecy, with the chapter ending just as Asta and Yuno strike the villain and apparently defeat him. However, this won’t prove to be so easy, as Black Clover is characterized by teasing a false sense of winning before the final villain’s power-up.
