In its 100 year history, Norteño music had never been performed at the Hollywood Bowl — until tonight. Los Cadetes de Linares opened for Los Tigres del Norte. For most in the audience, it was the soundtrack of their life. It was as if thousands of people feel into a trance at the sound of the first cords of ‘La Juala de Oro’ and ‘La Puerta Negra.’ It was beautiful, and an experience that I will never forget.
