VENTUS at MARINA EL CID RESORT REVIEW: Affordable Family Luxury! 5*, all-inclusive, Cancun Mexico

Описание к видео VENTUS at MARINA EL CID RESORT REVIEW: Affordable Family Luxury! 5*, all-inclusive, Cancun Mexico

This video is telling you all about our thoughts and experiences staying at Ventus El Cid Resort that is part of the Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort complex. This resort complex is made up of Hotel Marina El Cid, Ventus El Cid and Ventus Ha El Cid.
Our opinions are our own. We are not sponsored and the resorts never know that we make videos about our experiences.
When you arrive you will be escorted into an elegant and sophisticated lobby. The Ventus lobby has an adults only bar, called Abnia, that turns into a bit of a night club in the evenings.
Check-in is fairly straightforward. It is not safe to assume anything about wifi so if you see it included in your package then take a screen shot of that information.
You will also need to pay some additional resort fees.
We received a welcome drink. They try to sell you their time share program.
You will get a resort wristband. Room key cards and One towel card per person. After you all checked in, the bellhop will take you to your room.

The all inclusive rates include:
All of your food and drinks.
Whatever suite you choose with the standard amenities
a mini bar that is restocked daily,
housekeeping and turn down service,
An in-room a safe
Basic toiletries
Ventus has 290 suites. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Many suites have murphy beds. Housekeeping and turn down service is included but on this last trip it was hit or miss. In past years it was much better.

At the time of this video there are no limits put on how many a la carte reservations you can make for your stay. You are not limited to staying on your chosen resort. It is a stay at 1 play at 3.
The restaurants that are a part of the Venus El Cid are:
Ile de France: French a la carte.
Mercado de Dolores: A food court with different cuisine options Italian, Asian, Creperie, Fresh Market, Mexican, Seafood, Pizza and more.
Aromas: coffee shop
Overall, we found the food to be good.
We found the drinks to be well done everywhere. Mid range alcohol but at the price point of this resort it is what I would expect. The included house wines are a sparkling, two reds and two whites that are certainly drinkable.

There are evening activities and shows.
There is a kids club available from 9am-9pm for children ages 4-11. There is also a teen club area for teens 12-17.
You can also hire an onsite babysitter if you have little ones and want to go out on a date.
At the moment, Ventus has the most adult-only areas of any of the 3 properties. Along with the adults only bar in the lobby, There are also two adult only hot tubs and an adult only infinity pool.
The Ventus main pool does have activities but it is not as activity focused as the Marina El Cid pool. There is a separate family infinity pool with another bar and a family hot tub area.
Ventus has the largest beach area of the three resorts and the two infinity pools overlook the beach and out to the Caribbean sea.
The general ambiance of this resort is more upscale relaxation. It is a good option for adults or couples, bachelorette trips, and a great choice for families with older kids. The adult only areas were a nice treat when you just need a little kid-free time. The staff does strictly enforce that kids can’t use that pool or those hot tubs.
The Ventus main pool is huge with lots of swimming and playing areas but the main jumping rock and water slide are over in the Hotel Marina main pool.
There are plenty of washrooms located near all of the pools and hot tubs so there is no need to run back to your room.
We have found over the years that you get a lot of bang for your buck at El Cid properties. At the time of this video when we booked this resort kids under 12 are free when staying with a paying adult. So two adults taking two kids only paid the price of the two adults. Kids under 18 are also discounted.
It is important when pricing out this resort to not just look at the price per night. You have to look at the total price and then compare resorts. They don’t market this well at all and a lot of people don’t know about it so I want to make sure that my Subscribers know.
Over the years we have chosen the El Cid properties for 6 week long vacations. 3 stays at Hotel Marina El Cid. 2 at Ventus. And 1 and Ventus Ha' We have created several videos about each of the three distinct properties within this El Cid Resort Complex.
We want to pay it forward and we really hope that this video helps you decide if El Cid is worth your money and if it is, which resort within the complex will work best for you and those you are travelling with.
Thanks for watching! 😊
