God and Government — A.S.P.I.R.E. | Asher Intrater

The Bible has so much to say about authority and governments, especially in the book of Daniel. WATCH today as Asher gives a condensed but significant teaching on how believers in Yeshua relate to governments using the acronym A.S.P.I.R.E.

• Acknowledge Sovereignty - God is over all the governments of this world at all times (Daniel 4:17).
• Submit to Authority - Respect all authorities; Submit to the governing authorities within your sphere; • Obey authority within the boundary of not yielding to sin (Romans 13:1-4).
• Pray for Leaders - Pray for all those in authority in order to impact righteousness and justice in society and invite the kingdom of God to move forward (I Timothy 2: 1-4).
• Influence the Government - Pray for governmental leaders so their hearts can be influenced and changed by the Lord to go in the right direction (Proverbs 21:1).
• Remove/Replace - After praying, expect God, in His timing, to remove/replace those who harden their hearts and refuse to govern rightly (Daniel 2:21).
• Elevate the Ekklesia - We are invited to come up higher in our understanding of government from the elevated position of Yeshua, Who is above all things, in preparation to rule and reign with Him at His return. (Ephesians 1:21-22).
