A Netflix docu-series called Life After Death has clairvoyant medium Tyler Henry talking to the dead and delivering messages to people’s relatives who are still alive. Oren Levi asks Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman about life and death and the ability to communicate with the dead. The following is a loose transcript of the talk:

Oren Levi: I want to tell you about a new docu-series on Netflix. It's about a young guy named Tyler Henry, who is a medium. He talks to the dead through him mainly delivering different messages to their relatives that are still alive. This is a show about a real person and you see that he knows things about the dead that you can't know without talking to them. There are 200,000 people waiting in line to talk to him, to communicate with their beloved ones through him. Do you believe that it's possible to talk to the dead? What does it mean to be dead?

Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: The body dies but its essence remains.

Oren Levi: What do you mean? A person died. Who are you talking to?

Dr. Laitman: The body died. So what?

Oren Levi: So what remains then?

Dr. Laitman: It's force.

Oren Levi: Where?

Dr. Laitman: This force doesn't exist in some place.

Oren Levi: So how do you communicate with a force?

Dr. Laitman: For this, you need to be a medium.

Oren Levi: Why can't I? What am I missing?

Dr. Laitman: The ability to communicate with a person's spirit.

Oren Levi: What kind of force is that?

Dr. Laitman: A spiritual force.

Oren Levi: Is a person born with this kind of force or can he develop it?

Dr. Laitman: Usually he's born with it.

Oren Levi: Different religions say that it's forbidden to communicate with the dead.

Dr. Laitman: True.

Oren Levi: Why?

Dr. Laitman: I need to live with what I understand and feel. If it's not given to an ordinary person then it means that you're not supposed to get into it.

Oren Levi: You're not in favor of it?

Dr. Laitman: No, I'm not.

Oren Levi: After a person dies, where is his soul?
Dr. Laitman: Do you believe that in the air around us there are also radio waves, electromagnetic waves, and different other kinds of waves? Do you believe it?

Oren Levi: I don't need to believe it. I can turn on the radio and hear it.

Dr. Laitman: And before that? Before I had a radio receiver?

Oren Levi: Yeah, it would probably sound like science fiction were someone to tell me that.

Dr. Laitman: Same thing here.

Oren Levi: What do you mean?

Dr. Laitman: That it's possible to reach a state where you will hear and talk to people that are dead if you have this kind of sense. And if you don't, you don't. And if you don't have this sense then better not get into it.
