The Pronghorn is the fastest land animal in North America. It is easily able to outrun every predator on the prairie. In fact, it almost seems like overkill! The Pronghorn doesn't really need to be as fast as it is to evade the carnivores it lives along side. And for a long time the reasons why were a mystery to scientists. That is, until the discovery of unique and yet oddly familiar cat skeleton started to point to the presence of a unknown predator that may answer that question once and for all.
