Behind the scenes at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022

BEHIND THE SCENES at EAA AirVenture! Oshkosh 2022 was certainly an event that created lots of memories for all who attended, me included. It’s hard to describe the feeling of flying an airshow at the world’s largest aviation celebration. There is just something magical that you can feel, but you can’t see or touch. For me, flying in the air show is the reward of a lifelong commitment to flying as well as I possibly can. Flying on Saturday is especially rewarding and I’m honored to be able to fly on that day. It’s a biggie! The balance between keeping it light in preparation while being able to flip the switch when it becomes “game time” is a trait I think all athletes share. Here is a rare glimpse of what it’s like prior to the air show while we communicate with the Air Boss and then how we flip that switch once I’m given the airspace.
