How to Frame Stairs Efficiently part 1

It all comes down to tools and techniques. I like to cut stairs with the Makita 10 1/4" XGT beam saw and finish the cuts with the jig saw. This method saves a lot of time, while giving us more consistent results.

In this video we'll calculate the riser height, show how to use a calculator to lay out the stringer and avoid accumulated error, and cut the stringers.
