How do you deal with an difficult academic colleague? The biggest thing that you can do is realize that academics are just everyday people with their own emotions and problems.

You have to realize that if a relationship is not working out for you, then know:
1. You are a good person. The fact that you are actually watching this video likely means that you are a caring person.
2. You can make a positive change in your relationships. Often, the best thing that you can do is to terminate the relationship. This might take some time, but you can make a positive change in your life.
3. Have the courage to be you. Know that you are remarkable and that you can be yourself.
