SmackDown kicked off HOT with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes hitting the ring—but before he could say a word, Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed came out looking to jump him. Classic setup. Then out comes Randy Orton, and now we’re cooking. But here’s the twist—Heyman tried to turn Orton against Cody, planting doubt. Beautiful segment. High drama. Felt important.

Then we got the U.S. Title Open Challenge. Carmelo Hayes almost answered—until The Miz jumped him backstage like a coward. So who stepped up instead? Aleister Black. Surprise! Great back-and-forth match, but Sami Zayn retained with a Helluva Kick and Blue Thunder Bomb. Solid.

Sol Ruca & Zaria beat Alba Fyre & Chelsea Green with the Sol Snatcher. Fun match, crowd was into it. These women can GO.

Then came the contract signing between Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer for Crown Jewel. Pretty quiet... until Kiana James & Giulia attacked Stratton. They offered Vaquer a spot—but she teased hitting SVB on Giulia. Giulia dodged it, but the seeds of betrayal? Planted.

Je’Von Evans & Rey Fenix teamed up to beat Los Garzas with the Mexican Musclebuster. Fast-paced, crowd loved it. These guys are the future.

Main event: Cody & Orton vs. The Vision. Big fight feel. Orton looked great, Cody fired up—but Bronson Reed hit the Tsunami for the win. Shocking!

And just when you thought it was over, Seth Rollins hit the ring to attack Cody… but caught a Cross Rhodes for his trouble. The crowd ERUPTED.

SmackDown delivered across the board. Big matches. Strong angles. And yes, Cody is still him.
