VIKING BAY BEACH via CLIFF LIFT | Broadstairs | Viking Coastal Trail

Описание к видео VIKING BAY BEACH via CLIFF LIFT | Broadstairs | Viking Coastal Trail

Regularly voted #1 beach in Kent - Viking Bay Broadstairs is tucked in a sheltered sandy bay. Visiting on a sunny day you can see why Broadstairs was a favourite choice for Charles Dickens with soft sand, clifftop gardens, a promenade and boardwalk.
Broadstairs is 70 minutes by train from London St Pancras, with Viking Bay Beach being a short walk from Broadstairs station.
If travelling to Broadstairs by car there are 4 car parks near the beach totalling 250 spaces, plus some on street parking.
Broadstairs has many small cafes, restaurants, pubs, and other excellent places to eat including possibly the best fish and chip shop in the world.
Viking Bay Beach Cliff Lift was constructed in 2000, and saves you taking the 52 step stairs up/down between the beach and Victoria Gardens cliff-top Promenade.
It replaces the Grade II listed Broadstairs Eastcliff lift, which dates back to 1912, which is closed due to problems with the supporting structure.
