So, the 27-year old Arjun Awardee signed five years contract with the ISL and I-League champion ATK Mohun Bagan.

Sandesh Jhingan has been a top performer at the ISL level, having moved from United Sikkim to Kerala Blasters and now ATK Mohun Bagan. And at Kerala Blasters, where he became a top-level center back.
In his very first season in ISL, he became a pillar in the Kerala Blasters defense. He made 42 tackles in 14 matches, best in his team. Due to his excellent performance, he won the emerging player of the season award.
During six years at Kerala Blasters, Sandesh Jhingan became the most talented center back. As a result, most of the defensive responsibility was upon him, which he handled seamlessly and raised as a leader in the squad.
