English Winners, lets talk about exercise. Some people love it. Some people fear it. But everybody loves finishing their daily workout. Here, I’ll show photos and videos of a gym and give you a chance to see what different things are called.

Words shown or explained:
Workout routines
Sets - a number of reps; Reps - a number of times you are going to do an exercise without stopping; Max - the most you can do of an exercise, be it lifting a heavy weight one time, or lifting a lighter weight as many times as possible.
Interval Training
Cardio
Treadmill, Bicycle
Weight Training
1 rep Max
Rep
Machine weights
Free Weights
Pull-ups/ Pull-up Bar
Bodyweight exercises
Bench Press
Deadlift
Squat
Burpees
Lunges
Yoga mat
Leg Day (could easily be changed to Chest day, arms/back day)
Abs

If you know these already, that’s great. If not, then this helps a lot. Let’s throw some sentences up for practice:

I’m using the _______________
Free weights, machine weights

Are you using the ___________ station?
Deadlift, Bench Press, Squat rack (don’t need ‘station’ here)?

Today I’m doing pull-ups, curls, and shoulder press. It’s an arms and back day.

My plan is to do 3 sets of 5 squats. This means three sets, with 5 reps (or repetitions) each of squats.
