King Tubby Speaks about his Studio, Soundsystem and Jammy.

As promised. As part of my video which I put out a few days ago , (which you can watch here:    • How KING TUBBY and his Team Created R...   ).

Osbourne Ruddock was an electronic genius and his methods shaped not just dub but soundsystem culture as a whole. Reggae music would be very different without his contribution.

I found this interview with the great man himself from Finnish Broadcaster Tero Kaski.

The copy I found on facebook was very noisy so I did some noise reduction and cleaned things up.

As far as I know this is the only recording of his voice. if you know of any more please tell me (that's why i put the clickbaity title, i'd love you to prove me wrong).

The interview itself doesn't shed a great deal of light but it's of historical importance I think. He speaks about the end of his soundsystem, then current work and about his old protege King Jammy.

This interview was recorded in 1987 I think and this was before Tubby became the truly revered figure he is today.
