Genome Megapod Z is finally farmable outside of Premium Quests woohoo!

Anyway, if you're wondering how to be efficient with your stamina-costing material farming battles, wonder no more! Cactuar fishing is the way to go, though it requires a bit of lost stamina from forfeiting battles (you lose 1 stam each time you quit a battle without finishing, but the overall item droprate efficiency is hard to argue against).

The basics of cactuar fishing:
1) Start a battle in x9 mode
2) If a cactuar doesn't appear anytime before the final boss does (this usually applies to battles with multiple waves, e.g. summons memory farming where the summon boss usually appear in wave 3), then it's a dud RNG. Quit the battle before boss dies, restart the fight in x1 mode, and FINISH THE FIGHT in x1 mode to reset cactuar RNG.
3) Repeat step 1. Only finish the battle in x9 mode IF a cactuar appears before final boss does!

Some other newbie pearls of wisdom:
1) I prefer farming Genome Megapod Z (magic weapons uncap) over Microcube Model III (physical weapons uncap) because a) healing weapons are predominantly magic healing (there is only like 1(?) physical healing weapon that I can think of - Grand Gloves) and b) freebie event weapons also heavily skew towards magic (if you ever feel like upgrading these - I highly recommend upgrading Nanaki's Great Sabrecat Collar to 110 with these now farmable mats just for being the first AoE PDef+MDef break weapon afaik).
2) Never, never, NEVER use blue crystals to restore stamina. Stamina potions are the way to go, because quite honestly, they are given out uber often and blue crystals are more important (almost exclusively so) for banner pulls.
3) Cactuars generally appear in all stamina-farming solo/coop content EXCEPT Premium Quests and Events (unless otherwise specified in event notices e.g. in the current DQT collab, the notice says "Additionally, encounter special monsters in this event to obtain Mini medals." aka Metal Slimes are the event's cactuar equivalent, and can be fished with the same method if you're looking to clear the Mini medal shop)
4) There are 4 types of cactuar that we know of thus far - regular Cactuar that gives increased items, Golden Cactuar that gives increased items + gil, Metal Cactuar that gives increased XP (boohiss I'm already full 90), and Crystal Cactuar (which can only ever appear before the FIRST enemy wave) that gives 4 Mythril Ore per x1 battle or 36 Ore per x9 battle.
