Introduction to Mainnet. The mainnet is responsible for recording transactions on the blockchain and processing them. Because of this, anyone can now access the deals. All dealings must be processed through the mainnet.
Introduction to Testnet. The testnet is a secondary system that functions similarly to the mainnet. In this environment, developers can create and test their apps without having to enable real-world transactions or work with cryptocurrencies. The natural world doesn't necessitate any of those things, so they're not needed.
Why do we need a Mainnet? The following reason for which we need a Mainnet is that the real transaction occurs on the Mainnet. The "mainnet" is where the majority of the action is at. As a fully functional blockchain platform, it allows users to send and receive cryptocurrency transactions and any other digital data that can be stored on a distributed ledger.
Why do we need Testnet? The execution of test scenarios and the finding of bugs are made easier with the assistance of the testnet in the process of constructing a reliable and usable environment that contains all of the necessary hardware and software components.
Mainnet vs Testnet. If the mainnet is the thing that actually exists, then the testnet is the lab where blockchain ideas are tested to see if they are ready to be implemented on the mainnet. Before deciding whether or not to release them to the mainnet, they are put through this test. It's not about whether the testnet or the mainnet is better; it's about the application you want to use. This is because neither of the two networks is obviously superior to the other.
