In this video I test out the Sabrent PS5 Heatsink with a 2TB Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus SSD and compare that heatsink with a best selling heatsink sold on Amazon.
The Sabrent has a unique patent pending design that acts as a cover to the SSD expansion bay and heatsink all in one. This lets it use the fresh air from the PS5 cool the heat sink and transfer heat from the SSD much more efficiently than a standard heatsink with closed bay. Does the design really make a difference? Due to the PS5 design that relies on only negative pressure in a small enclosed chamber, the answer is YES. Even a few degrees makes a huge difference in performance and longevity of your SSD, especially when you play for long periods.
