Topics covered include muffling timpani, glissandi, tips on tuning, odd meter studies and far more. The Solo Timpanist is one of the most important and most often used books for timpani ever.

About the Performer:

Matthew Brotherton is a percussionist and music educator from Catawba, North Carolina. He holds membership in the National Association for Music Education, the North Carolina Music Educators Association and the United States Association of Rudimental Drumming. He is also a member of the Percussive Arts Society, where he is a former North Carolina student representative.
