Описание к видео I Really Need to Talk About This

Want to make something very very crystal clear: everything I say in this video is about a voice in my head, not a real person/individual. It's literally me. It's my version of negative self-talk. It just has a name, because I gave it one.

I've been dealing with an internal critical voice I call "Ed" that constantly tries to undermine my moments of happiness and success. This “voice” becomes particularly active during net positive experiences, telling me I'm horrible and undeserving of good things, while staying quiet during difficult times.

Though I understand these thoughts aren't true and I fight back against them, it's incredibly challenging to ignore such persistent negative self-talk. Through ongoing recovery and therapy, Ed's influence has diminished over time but remains at a plateau these days. But despite this, I do continue to pursue positive experiences and live life fully, even while preparing for the emotional aftermath that Ed's voice might bring.

If you listen, thank you for doing so.
