You Better Wait is a song by Steve Perry (‪@journey‬ lead singer 1977-98) from his 2nd solo studio album, For the Love of Strange Medicine. Released on June 28, 1994 as the album's first single, its video was allegedly filmed in late August of the same year in the Mojave Desert.

The city is a magnet, and kids gravitate toward it because they can finally leave the nest. The only problem is sometimes you can get lost on the streets, and when young people get lost on the streets they sometimes don't get back. That's what this song is about. - SP
