Inno del Sangue (or Anthem of Blood, also known as Anthem of Vicious Monarchist Bava) is about the "Moti di Milano", massive demonstrations against the government, the ongoing famine and the so-called "Good king" Umberto I. Tens of thousands of people went on strike demanding higher wages to contrast the economic crisis and food shortages, and as result General Fiorenzo Bava Beccaris shot at the crowd and dispersed the striking workers with cannons, killing thousands.
