Here is the music to the Sega mega cd game 'Microcosm' as composed by Tim Wright.

Misc. Notes
Microcosm is a game released for most of the earliest 32bit consoles. The Sega edition is the sole 16bit version. Though all versions differ in many ways.
Originally planned to have a theatrical score by THE keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman, the dev team found that streaming the game's FMV backdrops with Rick's tunes was too demanding on the single-speed cd drives of the day, and XA compression was yet to be invented.

As a workaround to this, an alternate score was composed in a chiptune format suitable for its respective host system as follows:
PC - MIDI tunes composed by pearl studios that could play on Adlib, Gravis ultrasound and Roland LAPC1 devices during shootouts. In the airlock scenes however, one of 7 tunes by Rick would be chosen at random. (The 8th tune is replaced by a slightly edited duplicate for what idk)

The FM towns version doesn't appear to play any music at all during shootouts, but does have 8 different songs by Rick. Both play a Rick theme on the title screen.

Amiga CD32 - Protracker modules composed by Kevin Collier, based on the UK breakbeat/Jungle techno styles that were popular at the time.
One of Rick's tunes is hidden as track2 on the CD, but is never played during the game.

Sega CD/Panasonic 3DO - Custom modules based on a different Protracker score by Tim Wright reminiscent of the Acid house style. The 3DO version uses higher quality samples, though is largely the same.
Because these mods were written to a custom format used only by Psygnosis, I couldn't open them in openMPT/Audacity, so I had to record this from the Sega to a Tascam dp-02 recorder. During gameplay I would open the cd lid, which freezes the gameplay but not the music, because the latter is fully loaded into 64kb of the system ram.
The Sega one features 8 different songs by Rick, but are never played in game, just hidden away as redbook audio and in a slightly different order to the FM towns one.
The 3DO one however DOES play a Rick tune at the title screen, I'm not sure about the airlock scenes though.

Rightfully, Rick would release his score as the 'Microcosm suite' on his Medium rare compilation CD, which can be seen listed at his official RWCC website discography page. He named all his songs after the planets and moons listed in the game's manual, which I find most interesting.
