In this vlog we have covered Kundi bhandara or Khooni Bhandara at Burhanpur. Which is a 400 years old water collection and distribution system built on Irani technology where water is collected and distributed without any external help . The water supply system was introduced by the Mughal Chief of the army Abdul Rahim Khankhana. The Kundi Bhandara provides water to the nearby areas till date through 108 Kundis or wells. The high quality water is the lifeline of many in the area. The lift accommodates only 2 persons and take you down 80 feet to the tunnel like structure. Not recommended for claustrophobic people. But this is a must visit point at Burhanpur.
