Matthew Kelly scored two goals and three other Notre Dame players added goals in the first quarter as the Green Knights were able to keep possession and dominated the play.

The third quarter was much the same. Both Vernon and Jeffery scored twice in the first 3:56 in the period to make it 11-straight Cheshire goals for an 11-5 lead.
Cooper Savoy followed with three straight goals over 2:52 to pull Notre Dame within 11-8 with 2:43 remaining in the third quarter.
