How To Choose a Flasher | ADRENO

Описание к видео How To Choose a Flasher | ADRENO

Adreno's Sam Cox lights up the differences between flashers.

Headhunter’s basic mirror flasher design uses reflective acrylic pieces and a squid at the end of the line to attract fish. You could probably construct something similar on your own at home. The reflective light is great for attracting pelagic fish in blue water conditions. The more reflection the better, so it’s best to use this is clear conditions. Remember that the mirrors are fragile so you do need to take care not to break them.

The spinner style flasher uses water movement to spin the reflective pieces of the float line to attract fish as well as a squid. Similarly, the ladder style spinner uses water pressure to spin its flashers along the rungs however larger fish or sharks can get caught in the rungs.

For shore diving a more compact design is recommended. Although they won’t attract larger pelagics, it will still draw in king fish and other smaller game.

The mirror balls are a great add on to a flasher. They fill with water and move up and down and spin with the water movement, and include an internal rattle. This allows the ball to attract fish using reflected light and sound. This design is also relatively fragile and comes with a bag to protect it.

Using a flasher float allows you to attract fish with a flasher at a designated depth hands free.
