This video shows the activities of the Groundwater Team at the United Nations Global Service Centre (#UNGSC) while rehabilitating the water wells for the local community in Abyei, a region located between the border of Sudan and South Sudan.
The people of Abyei have limited access to water. The United Nations is helping the community by rehabilitating wells producing only a fraction of the water they originally did, at the time of construction.
The Team is also working in collaboration with the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei – UNISFA, to provide sustainable water sources for the Mission, as well as for the community.
