60096 "Impetus" heads north along the slow lines through Bamfurlong, passing the site of the long gone Bamfurlong Station on Wednesday 22nd April 2020. The Class 60 was working the then regular "Kelbits" stone train, this was the return working from the site near Ashton-in-Makerfield to Tuebrook and was the second trip of the day. Despite still wearing Colas Rail Freight livery (with Colas partially rubbed out) the loco had been with GBRF for over a year by that point...

This was taken in the early stages of the national lockdown whilst I was out for my daily exercise, these workings dried up over the months however with them now running at best once or twice per week. Unfortunately GBRF have redeployed the Class 60s over to the East meaning we are stuck with Class 66s instead :/

This was running a little early and nearly caught me out, I was halfway down the path when it left the Kelbits site so I had to run the last hundred or so yards and was a little out of breath. My missus was following behind, seemingly oblivious to me recording as she chats away to a local...
