A new milestone in the field of mine rescue, developed and designed for one of the most challenging workplaces worldwide - The Dräger MRV 9000 is the answer to the changing mining environment for Mine Rescue Teams. Underground mining operations evolve, grow deeper, longer, become more complex and continue to expand farther from established infrastructure. As a result, travel distances and times increase. Current breathing apparatus durations and physical human limitations do not allow for these increased work times so that new mine rescue processes needed to be explored. In order to extend the useable work time of the current breathing apparatus, the MRV 9000 will allow rescuers to travel in contamination while still maintaining full use of their breathing apparatus capacity and travel to and from the incident scene in a climate controlled environment.
