Описание к видео Tube Vs Tubeless Tyres | Which Tyre Is Better? | ट्यूब टायर और ट्यूबलेस टायर में कौन बेहतर हैं?

A tubeless tyre is one where there is no inner tube between the tyre and the rim. Air is directly held in the space between the tyre and the rim. A tube-type tyre has an inflatable tube in it that holds the air in the tyre.
Most vehicles have now shifted to tubeless tyres, but the tube-type variety continues to be sold. Why is that? If the advantages of tubeless tyres far outweigh those of tube-type tyres why is it that tubed tyres are specifically used on some vehicles?

Advantages of Tubeless tyres:

1) The rate of deflation is slow and uniform, giving driver enough time to reach the nearest tyre repair centre. This slow rate of deflation also means that the driver gets enough time to slow down the vehicle.

2) Offer low resistance while driving, making the car feel lighter.

3) Offer improved stability and a comfortable ride.

4) Last longer and are more durable than tube type tires.

5) Repairing a tubeless tyre is relatively easy and not so pressing. Your vehicle can run a good number of kilometres if you keep refilling air.

6) Better heat dissipation as the air is in direct contact with the rim.

7) Damage to the tyre is less in case of a flat tyre because of the absence of the tube and slow rate of deflation.

8) The light weight of the tyres improves fuel efficiency.

9) Ability to use liquid sealant for automatic puncture repairs. Modern tubeless tyres can be filled with liquid sealants. When a sharp object cuts down a hole in the tyre, the sealant oozes through it and dries – hence plugging the puncture. It can be very handy when you are off-roading or travelling through long highway stretches.

10) Running your vehicle with low air pressure can also cause damage to tyres with tubes. However, there is no such problem when you have tubeless tyres.

Disadvantages of Tubeless Tyres:

1. Tubeless tyres are difficult to fit on the rim as they have to be airtight against the rim. Furthermore, only an expert can fit a tubeless tyre without getting the rim damaged.

2. If at all you have had a puncture and the tyre is flat, not everybody will be able to fix it. Fixing tubeless-tyre punctures require special equipment; which not many will have.

3. The sidewall of the tyre is a dangerous place to have a puncture. In a tube-type tyre, you can change the tube and forget about it. But a tubeless tyre will need to be changed if its sidewall gets damagedor even if it's carelessly discarded.

4. Tubeless tyres are expensive compared to tubed tyres due to the difference in components used.
