Today I am going to take you through an experience like never before that is considered an important part of Chinese culture called “Yum Cha” that literally translates to “Drink Tea” at Hong Kong’s Oldest Chinese Tea House - Lin Heung Tea House.

Yum Cha is a practice that generally involves small portions of Dim Sums served in bamboo steamers, which are designed to be eaten communally and washed down with hot Chinese tea. People often go to yum cha in large groups for family gatherings, celebrations or even business meetings.

Lin Heung Tea House is famous for its traditional Chinese tea and authentic Dim Sums; and since its opening in 1918, it has become a Hong Kong institution that you absolutely cannot miss! It is also very well known for its Egg Tarts which is a staple Hong Kong dessert.

Dining there is a memorable and chaotic experience… the place is pretty hectic and its crazy to see mobs of people (us included 😛) flocking towards the Dim Sum carts as soon as they left the kitchen. If you aren’t quick enough, you’ll probably go hungry!

It almost felt like a game and every fresh catch of Dim Sums and Baos was oh so worth it😋 
No wonder this place has a Michelin star!🌟
