This was a big milestone towards the final end-to-end showcase for intelligent asset management at Accenture’s Innovation Hub in Essen. In a packed testing day we completed our first autonomous drone flights and tested the software toolchain for managing work orders, capturing data using drones, analyzing data and delivering insights.

ServiceNow enables our customers to manage and schedule inspection flights, HHLA Sky provides software and hardware to control and monitor the drones, Solutions.AI visualizes the captured asset and highlights potential issues using AI computer vision. Our new colleagues from #Umlaut were in charge of getting the authorizations from the aviation authorities for BVLOS flights and aligning with Stiftung Zollverein as property owner. Even though no manual interventions were necessary, pilots from HHLA Sky supported us on site with the first flights.

Very exciting to see this scalable end-to-end inspection use case coming to reality against the backdrop of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site Zeche Zollverein.
