[POV] Know the Enemy | Gene's Quarters 1 | Wild Card Tourney | Robbers of Catan

Gene and Albert, two of our directors, finally meet up in the quarter-finals. In a heartbreaking turn of events, two friends must go at it and only one may leave to move on to the final four. Will Gene be able to do what it takes to constrict Albert? How will their history playing so much Catan together come into play? How will they place on a sheep-sparse board?

In the Wild Card Tourney of the RoC Elite Circuit by the Robbers of Catan, players play purely heads-up games - that is, games of 1v1. In the Wild Card Tourney, players are split into groups of 3, where they will play 4 games of group play against their fellow group mates, 2 per opponent. At the end of group play, the top 2 finishers move on to the Knockout Bracket, with the 3rd place finisher being eliminated immediately. The Knockout Bracket enlists these 16 qualifiers to play in 4 rounds of Knockout Play, where each round is a best-of-3 series. The only thing that matters now is winning.
