https://getconnectedmedia.com - The Odroid Go Advance was one of the best retro handheld consoles when it came out back in 2019. But the new Odroid Go Super really steps things up with a larger screen and a form factor familiar to those with a Nintendo Switch.

Created by HardKernel, the new Odroid Go Super has a new switch-like form factor that many people really love. In fact, many of the cases that fit the Switch also fit this device too. We're looking at a new 5-inch screen with a 5000 mAh battery to power it. Charging is via a USB-C port. It comes in the transparent version as shown and gray for a more a less revealing look. But we are partial to the transparent casing.

The overall build quality is also greatly improved as the device is no longer a DIY kit. The Odroid Go Super comes pre-assembled and ready to load up whatever ROMs you want to put on it. See Google for details, of course. Console support is anything from the earliest Atari all the way up to the Playstation PS One.

While the device does feel pretty good overall, there does seem to be a corner cut here and there. The analog thumbsticks seem to dig and don't give such a great experience. You can purchase a set of PS Vita thumbstick for a quick fix.

Our unit came to Canada, landed for about $140 CAD from the US, depending on currency fluctuations.
