Alfred (myself) performing "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones. Sorry it is karaoke backing and dark video. My friend told me his first memory of me (back in high school) was asking me who made the song "Paint It Black" (a song he had just heard). I, of course, was already versed in useless music trivia, and told him "The Stones, of course." He then spent that whole night trying to find a copy of that song (it was a lot more difficult back then in the mid/late nighties, when I was your age I had to walk 10 miles in the snow to find an mp3, etc.). He came back to me and said he couldn't find any song by "The Stones" with that name... I apparently explained "The Stones" was shorthand for "The Rolling Stones" and that probably was his problem. I had taped a copy off the radio onto a cassette back when Arrow 93 did their labor day A-to-Z, and apparently copied it for him, and thus a friendship was made. A few months ago he came back to town and told me that story (which I had entirely forgotten), and so I performed it karaoke for him that night. This was at Britannia Pub (britaniapub.com) on September 20th, 2014.
