Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Iver on the Western Mainline about 3 miles before Slough, taken on 02/04/1997 long before the overhead wiring was put up . A very bright day I observed the regular traffic passing by. Many HST's and several class 47s on cross country services and a RES service, not to mention the car train ! . Stone trains heading to and from Acton/Westbury with class 59's at the helm. I was accompanied by my daughter who supplied me with tea from my flask and was very patient (and understanding to my cause) to who I dedicate this video to . I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
