SRILANK'S CRAZIEST TOWER | AMBULUWAWA TOWER IN SRILANKA | THINGS TO DO IN KANDY

Ambuluwawa Tower is a popular attraction located in Gampola, just 20kms from Kandy, is a popular tourist attraction in the region.

With an elevation of 3,567 feet above sea level, the Ambuluwawa Mountain is critically important in historical as well as biological terms. The tower has a beautiful spiral structure and takes the shape of a cone.

The 48 meters tall, cone-shaped tower houses the Stupa (Pagoda) of the Buddhist Temple. As you climb up, it has several viewing platforms for you to enjoy the stunning views. The staircase gets narrower as you go up. The spiral staircase will be a challenging one to climb if you are not comfortable with heights.

The entrance fee to the Ambuluwawa Temple is just 1000 LKR (3 USD) for foreign adults and 500 LKR (1.5 USD) for children.
Gates open at 8.30 am.

It is advisable to hire a tuk-tuk/taxi from Gampola if you are getting there by public transport.
